Is your homework meaningful?

There is nothing worse than setting pointless homework! Well in-fact there is - receiving pointless homework. Using Focus on Sound to set homework is my focus for this week - students deserve the best and I know that setting homework using Focus on Sound is a great way to ensure that they learn.

Setting homework

Setting homework on Focus on Sound is easy. There is plenty of content ready-made that includes lessons and tests. A simple way of doing it would be to ask students to complete a certain lesson. This could be a set work lesson for GCSE music. But another option is to make specific content and add it to the “My School” area. (Pro version only)

Custom Lessons and Tests

In the “My School” area you can create custom content which means that your homework can be entirely relevant to a lesson or scheme of work. You can create lessons with content or set tests for homework.

Here's how to do it:

Homework goals

Focus on Sound can truly help you set better homework, and save time in the process using tests that can mark themselves and the students can complete wherever they have an internet connection, even on mobiles. The homework will include visual and/or audio examples and will engage them in their own learning. Give it a go and set your first piece of homework today!
